Cal State Sweepstakes Information

How do you get Cal state sweepstakes points and how it all works?

The sweepstakes contest runs from January 1st to December 31st. 

The categories are Open Rabbits, Youth Rabbits, Open Cavies, Youth Cavies and any specialty breed show whose club is a member of Cal State.

 

 

  1. Attend shows that are sanctioned with Cal State.  If you are a member of a local rabbit club, talk to them about sanctioning their shows with Cal State.  You can even offer to help pay for part of the cost.  It's only $2.50 to sanction a show.  After the show, the club pays 10c per rabbit shown.

  2. After the show the secretary will send a list of Cal State exhibitors with the points of their top four rabbits.  Remember to put your Cal State number on your entry form or the show secretary won't know that you're a member.

  3. Out of the amount paid, 40% of the money goes to the Cal State magazine and 60% goes to the exhibitors who place in the top of the standing for each category.  The prize money is handed out to the top exhibitors in April at the Cal State Convention.  At the Cal State Convention your points are doubled on the day of convention. 

  4. Any club wishing to sanction their show must be a member of Cal State.  The club membership fee is $10 per year.

Talk to all your clubs about sanctioning their shows!  Those clubs that would like to sanction a show, please send $2.50 per category (open rabbits, youth rabbits, open cavies, youth cavies, or a specialty breed show).  Also include the club's name, the show secretary's name, address and phone number or email address, the ARBA sanction number, the show date and the location the show is being held.
